The thing I like most about the 530d is that upside down, it says "cunt" in Afrikaans.

Thanks for advice.
I currently have a 530D manual and haven't used the auto before, that concerns me a little, although I have heard they are quite good. Last auto I drove was a Toyota in florida (hire car) and when I put my foot down, it took ages to go down the gears, absolute wank.
Anyone any experience of the BMW autos (this is 7 speed)?

I had a BMW 330ci auto with M3 styling. Air con plus electric sunroof. Great motor, great fun to drive, but the interior looked tired after 3 years.

A mate had one that I drove a few times. It was quick but had little else going for it.
Audi RS5 pisses all over it as a driver's car.
If really want a fast BMW though, get the M5. Still one of the best cars I've ever driven.

not an M6 but just sold my M5 V10 version 2007 ...awesome car....looked at M6 at the time just not enough room in it!!.....can be a bit clunky to drive at times but if ur looking fore raw aggression when u slip it into M mode it just becomes nasty!!

A mate got one of these a few years ago. For a BMW I liked it big roomy and plenty of power and he even joked that it had the optional extra indicators in the spec.
At the time we wandered how he was able to afford a car like this and it turned out his son was involved in a drug dealing gang and he was laundering money for him. He got 4 years he out now but doesn't drive a M6 now.

My mrs dad had one a few years back. The power delivery was immense and they're surprisingly roomy for a coupe.
